Have you ever dreamed about being a firefighter? Do you want to learn more about what the Morrisville Fire/Rescue Department does? The Morrisville Fire/Rescue Department will give you an opportunity to test your abilities at our Community Fire Academy on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Morrisville Fire Station 1, 200 Town Hall Drive. The academy is limited to 20 people, and participants must be at least 18 years old.
Firefighters-for-a-day will go through some classroom sessions from 10 a.m. to noon, enjoy a provided lunch, and then get challenged with hands-on firefighting activities from 1-3 p.m.
"In addition to an up close and in-depth tour of facilities and apparatus, residents will receive limited, hands-on opportunities to include advancing hose lines, wearing firefighter equipment, and executing a forcible open-door entry," said Fire Chief Nathan Lozinsky. "It'll be a great experience for everyone!"
