Advisory Committees offer residents a chance to be involved in the Town's decision-making processes by providing input on important matters to Town Council. 

The Appointed Public Bodies Administrative Policy provides guidelines and administrative procedures for Advisory Public Bodies appointed by the Town Council.     

Attendance requirements vary by committee, and are based on meeting schedule and/or a committee's quasi-judicial status. View all attendance requirements.

If selected for appointment/re-appointment, committee members are expected to commit to a two-year term limit (three years for quasi-judicial boards). All appointees/re-appointees are expected to adhere to the code of conduct as outlined in the Appointed Public Bodies Policy.

Applications are accepted year-round with committee appointments generally made twice per year (spring/fall or summer/winter). Specific application deadlines will be noted as applicable. Should you apply for a committee that does not currently have availability, your application will be held on file for one year and you will be contacted if there is a vacancy.
