On June 9, 2021, The Town of Morrisville was honored as a recipient of the 2021 All-America City award.
The All-America City award recognizes Morrisville's inclusive civic engagement to build equity and create stronger connections among residents, businesses, nonprofits and government leaders.
The National Civic League presented this honor to recognize Morrisville's work in inclusive civic engagement to build equity and resilience and create stronger connections among residents, businesses and nonprofit and government leaders.
All applicants submitted their community-wide work on building equity and resilience and three projects for consideration, and the field was narrowed to 20. Finalist communities made presentations virtually to a jury of eleven national thought-leaders, showing how their community leverages civic engagement, collaboration, inclusiveness and innovation to successfully address local issues. Only 10 All-American Cities are selected each year throughout the entire country.
The All-America City of Morrisville established an accessible and healthy food hub, responded to the pandemic collaboratively, and uniquely created a welcoming atmosphere for immigrants by embracing the game of cricket.
