The Morrisville Fire/Rescue Department announces Fire Safety Day on Saturday, October 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Park West Village parking lot located at 3400 Village Market Place. This free event for the general public features games, activities, food, and door prizes - fun for the whole family!
“We are very excited to able to host Fire Safety Day this year, and we’re working hard to offer something for everyone,” said Fire Marshal Charles Eldridge, organizer of this year’s event. Hot dogs, popcorn, and drinks will also be available at the event.
Other activities planned include a live ropes demonstration, photo opportunities, outdoor games, an inflatable bounce house, and a special appearance by Sparky the Fire Dog. “For anyone who loves seeing fire apparatus, police vehicles, ambulances, and helicopters, this is an awesome opportunity to get up close and learn about how they contribute to public safety,” said Fire Marshal Charles Eldridge.
Fire Safety Day is a part of National Fire Prevention Week which is typically held the first week in October. For more information, please contact Fire Marshal Charles Eldridge at celdridge@townofmorrisville.org or (919) 463-6176.
