In partnership with Children’s Advocacy Centers of North Carolina, the Town of Morrisville is collecting donations to support those in Western North Carolina impacted by Hurricane Helene. Donations can be dropped off at Church Street Park (5800 Cricket Pitch Way) on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 8 a.m. – noon.
Items to be collected include:
- drinking water
- shelf-stable milk
- powdered eggs
- flour and sugar
- peanut butter
- cereal and cereal bars
- canned food (preferably with pull tab tops)
- tea and coffee
- manual can openers
- diapers (both for children and adults) and baby wipes
- formula
- shampoo, conditioner and soap
- toothpaste and toothbrushes
- feminine products
- laundry detergent
- trash bags
- toilet paper and paper towels
- disposable plates, bowls, cups, and utensils
- pet food
- air mattresses
- sleeping bags and blankets
- work gloves
- tarps
- socks and underwear (new in package)
- coats
- activity and coloring books
- crayons and markers
- small toys for children
