Implementation

After adoption of the strategic plan in April 2018, Town staff shifted focus to plan implementation, ensuring that structure was in place and processes were defined. An internal staff charter was developed, and goal teams were created for each of the six plan goals. These teams would ensure that the objectives, initiatives, and measures of those goals would be carried through.  Connect Morrisville became part of the organizational culture of the Town and was shared at department meetings organization-wide, as well as incorporated into LAUNCH, our employee orientation program, so that each new employee is provided with the information.  Department heads participated in over 10 hours of training and classroom discussion on development of departmental plans to align with the overall strategic plan.  Department heads took that guidance back to their departments and engaged staff to get input and information to develop plans that were both significant and purposeful.
