The Stormwater Division performs numerous tasks to assist the public and the developers working within the Town of Morrisville. These tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing the NPDES Phase II program for stormwater and erosion control for the Town, including:
    • Public education and outreach
    • Public involvement and participation
    • Illicit discharge detection and elimination
    • Construction site runoff controls
    • Post-construction site runoff controls
    • Pollution prevention
    • Good housekeeping for municipal operations
  • Overseeing floodplain management
  • Overseeing the riparian buffer program

Evaluation of Concerns and Complaints

The Stormwater Division evaluates concerns and complaints related to stormwater, such as:

  • Drainage and grading concerns
  • Sediment and erosion control
  • Illicit/Illegal discharges to the stormwater system
  • Construction related issues
  • Impacts to riparian buffers, streams, or wetlands

Please report concerns by calling the Stormwater Hotline or by using the Report a Concern Center. 

Please report construction site sediment runoff concerns to Wake County by calling 919-856-7400.
