The Town offers a number of benefits. The following is a list of benefits offered for full-time employees (unless otherwise specified):
Group Health Insurance
Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina
The Town offers group health insurance for regular full-time and three-quarter-time employees. The Town covers a portion of dependent coverage, if elected.
Dental Coverage
Delta Dental
The Town offers dental coverage for regular full-time and three-quarter-time employees. The Town covers 30 percent of dependent coverage, if elected.
Life Insurance
Mutual of Omaha
The Town provides a group life insurance policy. The amount of coverage is 1.5 times the annual salary up to $200,000. The Town provides supplemental dependent coverage, as well.
Long-Term Disability
Mutual of Omaha
The Town provides long-term disability coverage for employees. LTD offers a level of income replacement if an eligible employee is unable to work due to disability.
Retirement
N.C. Local Government Employees' Retirement System
The Town participates in the N.C. Local Governmental Employees' Retirement System (NCLGERS). Six percent is deducted from payroll and applied to the employee's retirement account. An employee becomes fully vested in the NCLGERS retirement plan after five years of credible service with the NCLGERS.
Death Benefit
Through NCLGERS, the Town also offers a Death Benefit of one times the employee salary up to $50,000 following one year of NCLGERS membership.
401K Retirement
N.C. Supplemental Plan
The Town contributes 5 percent towards regular full-time and three-quarter-time employees' 401 (k) plan. Employees may elect to make voluntary contributions to the plan by payroll deduction. Employees are vested from day one of employment.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Flexible Benefit Services
Employees are offered the option to participate in Flexible Spending Accounts, which provide a way to save federal, state, and social security taxes on eligible medical and dependent care expenses.
Holidays
Regular full-time and 30-hour employees receive 12 paid holidays per year. Fire and Police shift personnel receive compensation in the form of holiday pay for having worked their designated holiday (12 days per year).
All full-time, 30-hour, fire and police shift personnel receive two (2) floating holidays annually. Floating holidays are provided equal to the employee's regularly scheduled workday.
Vacation Leave
Employees can accumulate vacation leave without any applicable maximum until December 31 of each year. At that time, any hours over the applicable maximum are converted to sick leave.

Sick Leave
Town employees accrue paid sick leave at the rates below. There is no limit on the number of days accumulated.

Paid Parental Leave
The Town provides Paid Parental Leave to regular full-time employees up to six weeks in a rolling 12-month period.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The Town provides employees and family members with free, confidential, short-term counseling to help resolve personal problems (marital, family, financial, legal, alcohol, and more) that may impact their work or personal lives. The EAP provides 24-hour phone assistance and is available for appointments at your convenience.
Aquatics and Fitness Center Membership
The Town provides free family membership to the Morrisville Aquatics and Fitness Center.
Voluntary Benefits
The Town offers voluntary accident, critical illness, and short-term disability plans.
Workers' Compensation
All Town employees (full-time and part-time) are covered under the N.C. Worker's Compensation Act.
