The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of Town parks, grounds, greenways, athletic fields, and amenities.

Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources staff provide the Town with recreation programs, special events, and park facility rentals, and they operate the recreation centers.

Parks Maintained by Public Works Staff

The Community Enhancement Division maintains the all of the common area landscaping and amenities at the following parks:

• Cedar Fork District Park
• Cedar Fork Elementary Multipurpose Fields
• Church Street Park
• Crabtree Creek Nature Park
• Indian Creek Trailhead
• Morrisville Community Park
• North West Park

Athletic Areas Maintained by Public Works Staff

The Athletics Maintenance Division of  Public Works does all of the landscape maintenance and game preparation on:

• Cedar Fork District Park Multipurpose Fields
• Cedar Fork Elementary School Multipurpose Fields
• Church Street Park Cricket Field
• Morrisville Community Park Ballfields and Multipurpose Fields
• Shiloh Park Cricket Field

Playground Maintenance

Public Works parks staff also maintain the six playgrounds located in the Town's parks. The playgrounds are located in:

• Cedar Fork Elementary
• Church Street Park
• Indian Creek Trailhead
• Morrisville Community Park
• North West Park
• Shiloh Park

In addition to the playgrounds, the staff also maintains the outdoor fitness stations located in:

• Church Street Park
• Morrisville Community Park
• North West Park

Park playgrounds and fitness stations are inspected  for safety by a certified playground inspector on a regular basis. Please help keep our playgrounds safe by reporting any issues to the Public Works office at 919-463-7070.

Park Building Maintenance

All park buildings such as park restrooms, the Morrisville Aquatics & Fitness Center, and the community centers are maintained by the Public Works Building Maintenance Division.
