Join us on Saturday, April 20 for the Town of Morrisville Earth Day event at the Healthy Food Hub as we 'support local' as part of our sustainability efforts. Earth Day includes education booths and activities for kids, including a passport activity. There will be three gift baskets raffled to those who turn in a completed passport. Gift baskets will include items from Western Wake Farmers Market (WWFM) vendors such as candles, baked goods, herb and vegetable plants, birdhouses, honey, and more. A rain barrel will also be raffled.
Attendees can bring a small vase to the Morrisville Education Garden booth to learn how to grow herbs in water.
Participating WWFM vendors include:
- Redbud Farm
- Michael's English Muffins
- Traditional Delicious Bakery
- Peace of Mine Candles
- The Woven Bead
- Birdhouses of America
- Fickle Creek Farm
Activity booths include:
- Information about native plants and drought-resistant plants for your yard and how you can attract pollinators
- Water conservation, free water bottles, and a water station
- Information about rain barrels and how to care for our stormwater, including a fats, oils, and grease collection
- Children's activities such as water cycle activities

The Morrisville Community Library will be there to distribute Earth Day-themed book lists and an activity for the little ones.
