Contracted Leaf Collection

The Town of Morrisville's Public Works Department contracts with GFL to collect bagged leaves and bundled sticks as part of the solid waste program. The Town has conducted comparison studies for contracted versus in-house leaf collection. In-house costs for the vacuum truck, additional staffing, equipment maintenance, and dump fees compared much higher to the current contracted service. Currently, each household pays $1.22 per month for both leaf collection and yard waste removal by GFL. The comparison studies concluded that current contracted services are more efficient and cost-effective for the Town and residents.
